PEP Screening

A customer is flagged as PEP if:
  • They hold (or previously held) a public office
  • They are a close associate of a PEP
  • They are a family member of a PEP
PEP matches trigger:
  • Enhanced due diligence
  • Mandatory compliance review
  • Transaction monitoring uplift

Proof of Funds (PoF)

PoF is required for:
  • Large-value transactions
  • Suspicious activity indicators
  • Mismatched financial behaviour
Accepted PoF documents:
  • Bank statements
  • Payslips
  • Tax returns
  • Company invoices
  • Asset sale documentation
Transactions remain on hold until PoF is reviewed and approved.

Review Outcomes

  • Approved – user can continue
  • Limited – lower transaction thresholds imposed
  • Rejected – prohibited due to risk or non-cooperation
